Forever Emily's Rare Heart
Born with a broken heart (one of the more rare Congenital Heart Defects - Ebstein's Anomaly), Emily painted this image as a preschooler! I was struck by how much it resembles a funky anatomical heart - challenged just like her own. She was later diagnosed with MPS IIIA/Sanfilippo Syndrome - a rare, terminal degenerative disorder. This design has been created with her artwork in order to spread awareness and have some part of my Emily out in this world! Appreciate the rarity and uniqueness of us all!
